Lebanese Forces leader Geagea: Theory of resistance has fallen

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea held on Tuesday a press conference in which he said that the theory of resistance, manifest in Hezbollah's statelet, has fallen since Lebanon cannot host two states at once.

Geagea added that national interest is defined according to the National Pact and the constitution, and not by the presence of extra state arms and the Resistance.

He also hailed the importance of the Bkerke charter, urging the Lebanese leaders to implement the said manifesto.

He also called for submitting new electoral draft laws at Parliament.

Last week saw the publication of the Bkerke National Charter under the auspices of Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Rai.

The charter focuses on coexistence and national reconciliation, stressing that electing a new president is proof of Lebanon's respect to democracy and the concept of power rotation.
