Syrian national arrested in Tyre over possession of military night vision binoculars

The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that the Lebanese Army Intelligence Bureau in Tyre arrested on Tuesday night a Syrian national identified as Hassan Hussein Al-Sawi (44) for possessing military military night vision binoculars.

The agency added that the Al-Sawi was arrested while driving his white Cherokee SUV, carrying the plate number 153964/ Daraa in the Aiitite region.

He was transferred to Sidon barracks for further investigations.

On another note, the Army Intelligence arrested two Palestinian nationals identified as Maher Ghadoub Tahwich (24) and Mohammad Ghassan Ibrahim (22) from the northern Borj camp, over suspicions of being affiliated to the al-Qaeda affiliated Fath Al-Islam group.
