Speaker Berri hopes cabinet would receive parliament's vote of confidence

Speaker Nabih Berri expressed hope on Monday from Kuwait that the newly formed cabinet would receive the parliament's vote of confidence to face the many challenges ahead, including the Syrian refugees file and that of terrorism.

He also noted that the formation of the new cabinet would ease down tensions, paving the way for the resumption of national dialogue.

Berri stressed that the Lebanese state must seize international and regional support for Lebanon's monetary and security stability in a bid to "compensate for lost time."

Berri's arrived to Kuwait on Saturday where he is set to hold talks with several officials.

Lebanon's prime minister formed a Cabinet more than 10 months after taking office on Saturday, including a wide range of political groups after bridging serious divisions among them mostly over Syria's civil war.
