Attempt to smuggle 7,5 kg of drugs thwarted

The state-run National News Agency reported on Friday that the travelers Department at the airport customs thwarted an attempt to smuggle cocaine coming from Venezuela into Lebanon, the first through France and the second across Abu Dhabi.

The two men carrying the drugs are of Turkish nationality, and they were arrested on the spot.

They were transferred to the concerned authorities to launch investigations in the incident.

No further details were provided.
