Minister Azzi to LBCI: Agreement not reached over “Army-Resistance-People” formula

Minister of Labor Sejaan Azzi said on Monday that the committee drafting the Ministerial policy statement did not reach a common ground over the “Army-Resistance-People” formula.

Azzi’s comments were made during a phone call with Nharkom Said TV show in which he noted that the Kataeb party will not make concessions at the expense of its principles.

He also stressed that Monday’s meeting of the committee will be decisive in this regard.

A ministerial committee tasked with drafting the statement has so far met three times to issue a statement.

Various ministers have said that the majority of obstacles have been overcome, but the “army-people-resistance” formula remained a point of argument.
