Roumieh inmates commit fraud to recharge cellphones

Al-Joumhouria Daily reported on Thursday that the inmates of Roumieh prison have been tricking taxi drivers into providing them with recharge cards for their cellphones.

In this context, a security source told the daily that it is very hard to eliminate all cellphones used by the prisoners, stressing that other means of contact must be available at the prison, “since the inmates are using the cellphones to prepare conspiracies with people from outside the jail.”
