MP Marouni to LBCI: Presence of Kataeb party in cabinet is essential

Kataeb bloc MP Elie Marouni stressed on Wednesday that his bloc is part of Lebanon's political structure, noting that the Kataeb bloc needed clarifications regarding the items of the Resistance and the Baabda Declaration.

"Based on the calls of Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai, President Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Tammam Salam and several ambassadors and diplomats, the Kataeb party decided to partake in the government," MP Marouni said in an interview with LBCI.

"The presence of the Kataeb party in the government is essential," he added.
