President Sleiman urges Lebanese army to control the border
President Michel Sleiman held on Thursday a series of contacts with Lebanese officials who briefed him on the rocket attacks and air strikes targeting tows on the border with Syria.         

“It is unacceptable that Lebanese regions and citizens remain under rocket attacks by the parties to the conflict in Syria,” Sleiman said, adding that those parties should stop targeting Lebanese regions since “the country can no longer tolerate this situation”.        

He also called on the Lebanese Armed Forces to control the border and urged Syria to control its own border.            

Separately, President Sleiman said he was reassured to parliamentary discussions over the policy statement, hoping that the government’s work will pay off.
