Geagea also stressed that he will withdraw Hezbollah fighters from Syria should he become the President of the Republic; adding that the LF are at odds with Hezbollah in politics.
"There are huge differences between the LF and Hezbollah. If the group manages to bridge the gap, we do not mind any alliance with Hezbollah when the latter changes its ideology," Geagea said.
Geagea pointed out that he is a candidate for the upcoming presidential elections, stressing that he is the leader of the most popular party among Christians.
“I am among the candidates, and I will wait for the appropriate moment to announce my candidacy,” Geagea said.
In the same regard, Geagea stated that “it is impossible that the Future Movement nominates MP Michel Aoun for the presidential elections,” denying any boycott in relations between him and Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
“There are some tensions in our debate regarding some issues, but our coalition is still constant within March 14,” he added.
On the Syrian file, Geagea declared that the crisis will last unless regional and international developments take place, stressing that Syrian President Bashar Assad has no chance in staying in power.
