Ministers Bassil, Bou Saab meet Greek Orthodox Patriarch Yazigi

Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil along with Education Minister Elias Bou Saab visited on Sunday Greek Orthodox Patriarch Youhanna X Yazigi at the Patriarchal Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand and discussed with him the latest local and regional developments.

The Ministers and Patriarch Yazigi also discussed the dossier of the 2 kidnapped bishops.

Two Syrian bishops were kidnapped by gunmen on Monday April 22nd and are still missing.

Pope Francis urged the release of the two Aleppian bishops, 2 days after their disappearance.

They have been identified as Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Alexandria Boulos Yazigi, and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo Yuhanna Ibrahim.
