Former Lebanese director withstands dreadful living conditions near Dora's landfill

An Nahar newspaper published on Tuesday an article highlighting the tragedy of a Lebanese director, artist and photographer.

George, an elderly man, has been withstanding dire living conditions in the Industrial zone located near Dora's landfill.

George, who solely feeds on leftovers, is also deprived of basic needs such as water and electricity.
Lebanon so far lacks a uniform old-age/retirement pension plan, causing widespread poverty among the elderly who face shortages in health services, water, electricity and housing.
