Arbid to LBCI: Ranks and Salaries series predicament lies in funding

Member of the economic bodies Charles Arbid said Wednesday that he understands the demands of the Union Coordinating Committee, noting that staging demonstrations is a legal right.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Arbid stressed that the economic bodies are not against the concept of the series, but they are concerned over the funding process, noting that the issue lies in the lack of planning and absence of economic dialogue.

He also stressed the need to abolish all forms of corruption as part of efforts to properly fund the series.
