Labor minister follows up on the case of former PAC employees

Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi followed up Friday on the issue of former PAC employees who were laid off nearly two years ago without receiving their compensations.

In this regard, Azzi had met the former employees’ attorney George Khadij and PAC’s attorney Joe Zgheib.

Saudi Prince al-Walid Bin Talal has been abstaining from paying the compensations owed to the 400 employees who were laid off from PAC around nineteen months ago.

PAC, a production company providing services for the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International, urged the Ministry of Labor on March 21 to hold consultations pertaining to the lay off of 397 employees.

It cited “economic reasons” for the move, a justification that would allow the company to refuse to granting due compensations to the employees.
