Civil society activists mark anniversary of Lebanese civil war
Farah al-Ataa (Offre Joie) activists and civil society organizations staged a movement on Sunday to mark the 39th anniversary of the outbreak of the Lebanese civil war.

Over a period of 15 years, between 1975 and 1990, Lebanon endured a civil war that left around 200,000 people dead and an estimated 17,000 others missing. The Israeli army also occupied Lebanon during and after the war, only withdrawing its troops in 2000.
