Jisr to LBCI: Ghosn will attend Defense Committee meeting

The head of the Defense Committee MP Samir Jisr said that the committee will ask the Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn to attend its weekly meeting next Monday to present his testimony and information regarding his claims on Al-Qaeda issue in Ersal.

Jisr mentioned that the committee meeting will not be a Q&A session as such sessions should take place only in the Parliament.

Jisr told Nharkom Said on LBCI TV that it is from the MPs right to raise questions about Ghosn’s statements.

“He [Ghosn] shouldn’t have said that in public even if his claims were true”, Jisr said.
