Bassil from Algeria: Half of Lebanon’s residents are not Lebanese
Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed Wednesday that Lebanon is committed to international law, calling on the International Community to end Israeli violations to the Lebanese territories and to assist the Lebanese Armed Forces during the upcoming international conference in Rome.

During the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Algeria, Bassil noted that he supports stability in Syria in order for the refugees to return to their country, pointing out that half of Lebanon’s residents are currently not Lebanese.

"Only a strong Lebanon is capable of helping the Palestinian cause," he concluded.
