BeIN Sports files lawsuit against Tele Liban for broadcasting 2014 World Cup
BeIN Sports company has filed a lawsuit against the state-sponsored television channel Tele Liban (TL) on the backdrop of broadcasting the 2014 World Cup games. A session is set to be held on Monday morning to look into the lawsuit.

In this regard, TL officials confirmed to LBCI that Tele Liban respects the Lebanese judiciary and awaits the results of tomorrow's session.

Earlier this month, cable television provider Sama threatened any cable provider or TV channel that attempts to broadcast World Cup matches without its consent.

The cable provider, who had gained the exclusive right to broadcast the World Cup from beIN Sports, threatened to prosecute whoever shows the games without its permission.
