LF leader Geagea says he is not clinging to own candidacy

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said the March 14 forces, mainly the LF, have fulfilled their duties regarding the presidential elections in order to avoid the current power vacuum.

In this regard, Geagea said he is not clinging to his own candidacy, noting that there are no compelling reasons for the failure of presidential election sessions.

"Lawmakers are able to attend parliamentary sessions and elect the president they want," Geagea said at the annual dinner for Lebanese Forces students.

“Due to some personal ambitions, the presidential elections were disrupted in an illegitimate way, and the obstruction goes on until this very moment," he added.
