Two abducted Syrian brothers freed in exchange for ransom in the Bekaa

The state-run National News Agency reported on Tuesday that the two Syrian brothers Khalil Ibrahim al-Ali (born in 1968) and Abdel Karim Ibrahim al-Ali (Born in 1982) who were kidnapped on Monday were released in exchange of a 20,000 dollars ransom.

This as a third Syrian national identified as Zeidan Salman al-Hamad (28) remains abducted as kidnapers demand a 500 thousand dollar ransom for his release.

On Monday, unknown gunmen abducted three people on the al-Hillaniyeh road in the Bekaa, the state-run National News Agency reported.

"Armed men inside a Nissan Pathfinder intercepted a silver Mercedes Maybach on the Riyaq-Baalbek international road and kidnapped three people that were on board,” the agency added.

These kidnappings come as the Lebanese army and security forces have been implementing a security plan in the Bekaa, the North and Beirut.

The plan has been successful in arresting several leaders of kidnapping networks.
