The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Haytham Jomaa stressed the need to head to Africa as soon as the logistical procedures are finalized in Lebanon, calling on all the relatives of the Lebanese victims of the Air Algerie plane that crashed on Thursday in Mali, to call the following phone number (03/211103) in order to conduct DNA tests.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Jomaa said that the Lebanese delegation will travel to Mali, pointing out that the Lebanese Charge d’Affairs in the Ivory Coast is currently in Burkina Faso.
In this regard, he noted that the delegation will follow up on the search operations in order to collect the bodies of the Lebanese victims and send them back to Lebanon, confirming that the procedures will be carried out in cooperation with Lebanese officials.
For his part, the spokesman of the Lebanese community in Bukina Faso, Pierre al-Hajj, said that contacts are ongoing with the Lebanese community in Mali in order to coordinate the transportation of the bodies to Burkina Faso.
