North Korea denounces allegations of arms deals with Hezbollah, Hamas
North Korea has denounced claims that it supplied rockets to Hamas in the Gaza Strip and military equipment to Hezbollah as "sheer fiction" and a "sinister" effort to link Pyongyang to Middle Eastern conflicts.

The rebuttal from the foreign ministry was carried in a statement late on Monday by the North's official KCNA news agency.

Late last week, Britain's Daily Telegraph quoted western sources as saying that the Hamas movement had already made an initial cash down payment to secure rockets and communications equipment from North Korea.

The report came days after a US federal judge announced that North Korea had provided advanced weaponry to Hezbollah.
