Former PM Hariri says Lebanon is facing serious challenges

Future Movement leader Saad Hariri stressed on Sunday that Lebanon and the nation are facing serious challenges, and said: "We will not allow a few extremists to make Muslims in confrontation with our partners in the country".

Hariri's statement were made during a luncheon banquet in Beit al-Wasat following the election of a new Grand Mufti.

"We hope that the newly-elected Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdel Latif Daryan, will preserve Dar al-Fatwa's role," Hariri added.
