The loss of the Naim family under the rubble is perhaps the most tragic

Under the rubble of the collapsed building in Fassouh, Achrafieh lies a great tragedy; families who entered their homes alive never to leave again. Gladys Naim lost three brothers, Jihad, Farhat and Charbel and her father Tanios Naim.

As for Ricardo Saad, he painfully checked the bodies to see if one of them belonged to his mother Elise, after the Red Cross and the Civil Defense managed to find the body of his father Maroun. Ricardo was orphaned, losing a mother and a father without having the chance to say goodbye.

Moments took away the lives and dreams of young people in a tragedy that could have been anticipated with a little control over the buildings whose walls were crumbling with time.
