Ferzli to LBCI: Lebanon stands at the heart of a regional conflict
Former deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli said Sunday that Lebanon is at the heart of a regional conflict, noting that the world has forgotten the events of 11 September 2001, and their repercussions on the recent incidents in the Middle East.

In statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Ferzli noted that Syria is turning into a strategic trap for terrorism in the world, pointing out that a conflict has erupted between the first Wahhabism embodied in Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the second Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia.

On another note, Ferzli stressed that the Israeli force destroyed the European heritage, adding that the Zionist ideology aims at eliminating the Christian minority in the region.
