Culture Minister Roni Areiji headed the Lebanese official delegation to the ministerial conference that precedes the 15th Francophone Summit, the first summit to focus on women and young people, and which will take place in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.
At least 50 member states of the International Organization of the Francophonie will attend the summit, as well as more than 20 non-member states that will participate as observers.
The summit will also tackle the Ebola epidemic spreading throughout the African continent, as well as terrorism and extremist groups, mainly in Africa.
