Environment Minister Mohammad al-Mashnouq said Saturday that “the municipalities are practically unable to manage their waste issues,” noting that some municipalities collect the waste and dump it in another district.
“I have evidence in this regard,” he added.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the minister pointed out that “there are around 760 random dumpsites across Lebanon,” stressing the need to set up a serious plan in order to find a solution for this issue.
