Plane carrying victims of Air Algerie crash arrives to Beirut airport
The Plane carrying the bodies of the 19 Lebanese nationals killed in Air Algerie flight crash in Mali arrived on Sunday to Beirut International Airport.

In this context, Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil who accompanied the bodies of the victims noted that it is the state’s duty to end the killing of Lebanese expatriates in plane crashes.

“We stand before a national tragedy that keeps on repeating itself,” he stated, pointing out that millions of the Lebanese nationals live in Africa, and there are no Lebanese planes to transport them to Beirut.

Last July, Air Algerie Flight 5017 crashed in Mali after taking off from Burkina Faso. All 116 people on board the aircraft were killed in the ordeal.
