Abou Zaynab told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that certain sides are fabricating stories in a bid to distort the image of Hezbollah.
He also denied any relation with informant Mohammad Shawraba, pointing out that the latter may not be his brother-in-law because he does not have a sister.
On the 19th of December, Hezbollah stated that it is trying one of its operatives for treason after spying for Israel and sabotaging security operations abroad aimed at avenging the killing of Hezbollah’s top military commander Imad Mughniyeh.
Hezbollah had arrested the informant, Mohammad Shawraba, head of the party’s External Operations Unit, and four from his team about a month ago after they were put under scrutiny for six to seven months.
