Boy, 7, mauled to death by his family's dog in Lebanon's Zahle

The state-run National News Agency reported on Tuesday that a dog attacked and killed a seven-year-old boy in the eastern city of Zahle.

The agency identified the boy as Michael Dany Kassouha who was playing at his father's farm on Monday when the incident occurred.

His father was cleaning the cage of one of the dogs when the animal went off his leash and mauled the boy in the head.

Michael was instantly killed, according to the agency.

Police launched an investigation into the incident.
