[PHOTOS] Young girl dead, 5 injured in Tripoli amusement park accident

The Lebanese Red Cross said on Saturday that a young girl died and five others were injured in an accident at an amusement park in the northern city of Tripoli.

Three ambulances rushed to the scene, the Red Cross said on Twitter.

The state-run National News Agency identified the girl as 17-year-old Mariam al-Tabbah, noting that she died and five children were wounded when the ferris wheel at City Land toppled.

Police launched an investigation into the incident, the agency added.
