Lebanese army opens fire at movements of militants in Arsal’s outskirts
The state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday that the Lebanese army opened heavy artillery fire from its posts in the northern Bekaa at movements carried out by militants in the Wadi al-Ajram and al-Zamarani regions in the outskirts of the border town of Arsal.

“The heavy artillery shelling destroyed several militant vehicles,” the agency added.

Earlier, the agency reported that the sounds of intense bombardment were heard in the Bekaa during “Syrian airstrikes on militant gatherings in the al-Zamarani area.”

The Lebanese army regularly clashes with the Islamic State and the al-Nusra Front armed men in their hideouts near the Lebanese-Syrian border.
