Two days before the dream game, the Lebanese state promises rewards

Two days before the “dream game” that will pit the Lebanese football team against the UAE in Abu Dhabi and that will be aired exclusively on LBCI, the Lebanese people and state have started the countdown.     

At a time when the players are preparing for the game outside the country, the Lebanese government is preparing itself to reward them for their efforts.         

In this regard, Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmad Karami told LBCI that during Monday’s cabinet session, he asked the minister of finance to grant the rewards that were previously ratified to the winning players. He added that the latter promised him that the president will sign the decree as soon as he comes back to the country.     

Karami assured that in case Lebanon wins Wednesday’s game, other rewards will be granted to the players, along with money, trips and sporting facilities.      

For his part, the education minister urged, through LBCI, schools and universities who want their students to watch the game on Wednesday to suspend courses as of 1 pm.
