Kataeb bloc MP Saadeh: We do not oppose Aoun’s election as president

Kataeb bloc MP Samer Saadeh called on Monday for an electoral law that “achieves the Christians’ aspirations” inside the parliament.

“It is required to elect a powerful Christian president with a national consensus at the same time,” MP Saadeh said in an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV Show.

“We do not oppose the election of Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun as president but we are against the methods being used that include state paralysis and social upheaval,” the deputy added.
