MP Kanaan to LBCI: Proportional electoral only solution to Lebanon’s stalemate

Free Patriotic Movement MP Ibrahim Kanaan clarified Saturday that demonstrators who participated in yesterday’s rally were all FPM supporters.

“Lebanese people have hope today and we should not bury it,” MP Kanaan said to LBCI’s Nharkom Said.

The lawmaker noted that dialogue is the only way to resolve Lebanon’s ongoing crises, stressing that politicians should find solutions to social problems.

He reiterated that the movements of FPM supporters will not stop until their demands are met, pointing out that only an electoral law based on proportionality would resolve the country’s current deadlock.
