President Michel Sleiman said Friday that political stability, which hinges on security, plays a key role in oiling the wheels of economy and stimulating its growth.
Sleiman voiced confidence that Lebanon will witness a fast economic recovery in line with the ongoing developments, thanks to the flexible Lebanese economic system as well as the foreign investment and remittances.
Army Commander Jean Kahwaji briefed Sleiman on the security situation in Lebanon and the conditions of the military institutions, highlighting the key role that the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) play in keeping the civil peace and defending the Lebanese borders.
