Hezbollah’s Nasrallah warns of backlash in the aftermath of Beirut bombings

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah stated Saturday that the terrorist act that targeted Beirut’s Bourj al-Barajneh aim at triggering a Shiite-Palestinian strife and another Shiite-Sunni strife as well as conflicts with the Syrians.

In a televised speech, Nasrallah explained that blaming the Palestinians and the Syrians for being suicide attackers aimed at inciting a sedition in Lebanon and creating conflicts between the Lebanese people and the Syrian refugees.

“There is no humanitarian logic in holding the Palestinian camps accountable for the recent crimes,” he added, calling upon all the refugees to cooperate with the Lebanese army and the security forces by reporting any suspicious act.

Nasrallah also noted that the Palestinian camps are concerned in helping control the security situation inside the camps, stressing that Syrian refugees should not be targeted even if the perpetrators were Syrians.

"Should any Lebanese Sunnis found to be members of a terrorist network, we must not hold the entire sect responsible," he stated.

In this regard, Nasrallah said that the Israelis and the Takfiris seek to trigger a civil war in Lebanon.

On another note, Hezbollah chief revealed that the terrorists behind the Bourj al-Barajneh attack used many apartments in Beirut and one apartment in the said area.

On the political scene, Nasrallah stressed the need to achieve a comprehensive political national settlement a bid to end the current paralysis.

Commenting on the latest incident in the French capital, Nasrallah denounced the terrorist attacks carried out by the Islamic State.
