Natural-gas cars soon to run on the Lebanese streets
As fuel sectors were busy organizing a strike in protest of the increase in fuel prices, the cabinet was adopting the draft law of cars running on diesel and natural gas and the tender process to buy 250 buses.

54 countries around the world use cars running on natural gas and green diesel, at the forefront of which are Pakistan, Argentine, Iran, Brazil and India. To enter into force, the project requires that the committees within the Parliament conduct a deep study before sending it to the general authority.

Following its adoption, the project will need implementation decrees that meet safety standards and the monitoring mechanism among others.

In short, the ratification of this project is only the first step in a thousand-mile journey.
