Abou Faour: vigilantism signals decline of the state

Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour said that both the cabinet and the state should leave the critical political decisions on security-breach incidents to the appropriate security bodies. “When citizens stop trusting the government and resort to vigilantism, it means that the dissolution of the state has begun.

Abou Faour met with the Progressive Women’s Association and condemned the recent frequency of security incidents. “These incidents raise concerns despite the fact that they are not linked and lack political motives”, he said.
