US embassy condemns abduction of Lebanese citizens in Aleppo

The U.S. embassy in Lebanon condemned on Thursday the abduction of Lebanese citizens in Aleppo and called for their immediate release.

The embassy added via tweeter that "the kidnapping of people – particularly targeting along sectarian lines – is unacceptable."

In another tweet, the embassy reiterated the U.S. commitment to a stable, sovereign, and independent Lebanon.
