Free People of Syria: developments delay handover, positive signs to emerge tomorrow
The Free People of Syria party, which is mediating the release of the Lebanese men kidnapped in Syria, announced on Saturday that last-minute developments delayed the handover of the abductees, adding that the issue is under examination.

The party confirmed in a statement that the abductees are safe and in good health, adding, however, that there is no specific time for their release.

The statement added that field operations in Syria contributed to the delay of the handover, especially since Syrian reconnaissance planes were detected flying over the location of the kidnappers.

In turn, Sheikh Bilal Dakmak told LBCI that positive signs regarding the abductees’ release will emerge tomorrow evening.

Dakmak stressed that the recent positions as well as the movements of the Syrian army have stalled the handover process, adding that the abductees are along the Turkish border.
