Lebanese officials lament the loss of Saudi Crown Prince
Speaker Nabih Berri and PM Najib Mikati sent a cable to Saudi King Abdullah Saturday, offering their condolences over the passing of Crown Prince Nayef Bin Abdul-Aziz early today.    

Berri extended warm condolences, on behalf of the Lebanese parliament, to the Saudi parliament house, the king, the Shura Council and the Saudi people in general.     

In turn, Information Minister Walid Daouk, lamented the passing of the Saudi Crown Prince, offering sincere condolences to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the loss of one of "the pillars of the Arab and Islamic world".   

Daouk described the late Prince as a good friend for Lebanon that constantly sought the country's civil peace and growth.   

Kataeb leader Amine Gemayel, Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi and former PM Saad Hariri also offered condolences to the Saudi King over Nayef’s death, describing him as “a close friend to Lebanon.”
