Civil liberties under attack: Racha threatened by her faculty for expressing her opinion
An article written by a student at the Lebanese University – Faculty of Information and Documentation – Branch 1, Racha al-Amin raised the ire of the faculty’s administration.

In her article published in Nahar Ash-Shabab (An-Nahar's weekly youth supplement), Racha voiced her rejection of the partisan hegemony and the wide spread corruption in the faculty.

For his part, the faculty’s director, Dr Iyad Obeid refused the information included in the article of this young girl who wrote that he threatened to transfer her to the Disciplinary Council.
