Kanaan calls on Rai to continue bearing his cross

“Change and Reform bloc” member MP Ibrahim Kanaan said the goal of those who were trying to thwart the electricity plan was to corner the reformist movement. “I call on the Parliament to represent the people’s voice in the electricity issue during the next few days”, Kanaan said.

“I call on the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai to continue bearing his cross for the sake of Lebanon and the Christians, away from the fevered pitch of verbal attacks and demagogies", Kanaan said during a dinner organized by the Free Patriotic Movement.
