Monday’s Parliamentary session, what will it revolve around?

A legislative session will be held on Monday to look into thirty-three items, with the issue of contract workers and the adoption of 11 Trillion LBP credit expenditure to cover the 2012 spending bill.                     

In this context, member of the Future Bloc MP Ammar Houry announced that March 14 parliamentarians will head to parliament with open minds in regards to discussing matters. Concerning the fiscal file, Houry said through LBCI   that there will be a vision for this issue, noting that the current government’s proposals have been flawed, seemingly since it failed to present a budget for 2012.                  

For his part, Change and Reform MP Michel Helou said that the expenditure item comes in to benefit all Lebanese while also serving the state and its institutions although according to Helou the experience with the “other team” regarding the 8.9 Trillion LBP left a bitter taste.             

The legislative session will run on Monday and Tuesday and is expected to show contrasting views amongst parliamentary allies. It is also no secret that March 14 plans to vote against the proposals of the government.
