Aboud to LBCI: Lebanon has returned to the middle ages
Minister of Tourism Fady Abboud said on Monday that the Free Patriotic Movement’s intention was not to boycott the cabinet sessions but to make a statement against a decision the bloc determined was erroneous.

Aboud confirmed via Nharkom Said on LBCI that General Michel Aoun is the person least suspected of playing on sectarian lines. “Sectarianism is not what propels the Change and Reform Bloc,” he said.

“We are the determiners on the Christian political stage. Our national stances remain unchanged” he added.

Civil strikes are now taking on a sectarian character, he said. “Lebanon is returning to the middle ages,” he concluded.
