Aoun on Kweikhat case: Judiciary coming under provocation
Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said on Tuesday that the judiciary is coming under provocation with regards to the issue of the 3 officers arrested in the Kweikhat case.

Following his bloc weekly meeting, Aoun went on to question the reason behind the recent decision to expand relevant investigations.

“We cannot see any justification for the arrest of the officers. We do not stand against justice; we are rather seeking to put an end to the violation of justice”, he stressed.

“The issue of the arrested officers has seen unacceptable developments”, he said, adding that the LAF cannot distance itself from Akkar, Tripoli, Beirut and the EDL.

The FPM leader stressed that “no one is above security” confirming that the LAF is for all the Lebanese.

Aoun accused the “other party” of sowing doubts in the minds of military men and sparking divisions among their ranks.

Commenting on the issue of EDL contract workers, Aoun accused the security forces of protecting the “occupiers” of the public institution, pointing out that some collectors are withholding public funds.
