Geagea: street protests are not for the sake of the LAF

Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea accused “those within the government who called for street protests in support of the LAF” as infringers on the cause, adding that “if they really loved the military institution, they would seek that it becomes the sole defender of Lebanon”.

Commenting on the National Dialogue, Geagea said that the country’s pending and urgent security issues on the rise everyday make the talks seem trivial in comparison. “There is no point in covering up attempted assassinations and security defects in the country alongside the government’s failure,” he concluded.
