A number of retired officers turned MPs urged Wednesday President Michel Aoun to return the points in the budget relation to the army and security apparatuses to the Defense Ministry, calling for the formation of a committee tasked with determining where the expenses should be reduced.
Following a meeting in Baabda, MP Jamil al-Sayyed said that the government must put an end to all the sources of waste of public funds, without affecting the citizens.
