Industry Minister Wael Abou Faour said Monday that whoever obstructs the cabinet session must be held responsible, noting that the agenda is drafted by the prime minister and the president.
Following his meeting with Kataeb party chief MP Samy Gemayel in Saifi heading a delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party, Abou Faour stressed that the reconciliation is steadfast, noting that personal and short-term interests cannot affect it through a speech of hatred.
“The performance of the defense minister is partial and reckless and he cannot declare that there’s an ambush and surpass the security forces without any responsibility,” he noted, adding that “he also cannot leave his work behind and tours the regions as a bodyguard for another minister.”
“This behavior negatively reflects on the status of the Defense Ministry,” Abou Faour said.
In turn, MP Gemayel stressed that coexistence is safe and sound, noting that some are trying to create tensions that are only fabricated and do not exist.
