Minister Gharib: We have a footage of Saturday’s shooting
Minister of State for Refugee Affairs Saleh Gharib held on Saturday a press conference in which he explained what happened on Saturday dawn outside his house.
During the press conference, Gharib said that a car parked away from his house, adding that a man identified as Rayan Merhi waited until an army’s patrol left before trying the storm into the building.
Merhi then clashed with the guards standing outside the building, mainly after he tried to take the weapon from one of them, prompting them to shoot.
The minister added that Saturday’ shooting “proves the Aley incident,” adding that he has a footage of what happened that is now in the hands of the security apparatuses.
“We hope that we will not be obliged to publish the footage,” he added.
